FinTrace ("the App") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and the choices you have regarding your data.

1. Information We Collect

The App may collect and store the following information:

• User account email address
• Expense titles and descriptions
• Expense amounts
• Expense categories
• Dates associated with expenses
• Store or purchase information entered by the user
• Uploaded receipt/item images
• Optional profile pictures
• Crash reports and diagnostic information
• Analytics and app usage data

2. Authentication

FinTrace uses Firebase Authentication for secure account access. Users may sign in using:

• Passwordless email link authentication
• Google Sign-In

3. How Your Information Is Used

Your information is used to:

• Provide and maintain app functionality
• Store and synchronize your expense records
• Secure user accounts
• Improve app stability and performance
• Analyze usage trends and app performance
• Provide subscription-related functionality through RevenueCat

4. Image Storage

Images uploaded by users are stored using Firebase Storage. Uploaded images are intended to remain private to the account owner.

Access to stored files is protected using Firebase Storage security rules and access tokens. Files are not publicly browsable.

Users may delete database records associated with uploaded images. Related image files may remain temporarily stored and are typically removed within approximately one month.

5. Third-Party Services

FinTrace uses the following third-party services:

• Firebase Authentication
• Firebase Realtime Database
• Firebase Storage
• Firebase Analytics
• Firebase Crashlytics
• Firebase Cloud Functions
• RevenueCat

These services may collect technical information such as device identifiers, crash diagnostics, subscription status, and usage analytics in accordance with their own privacy policies.

6. Permissions

The App may request the following Android permissions:

• Camera – for capturing receipt or item images
• Photos/Storage – for uploading existing images
• Internet – for cloud synchronization and authentication

7. Account and Data Deletion

Users can delete their account directly from within the app.

Users may manually remove their stored expense records before deleting their account. If data remains after account deletion, it may be removed within approximately one month.

Uploaded image files are not directly manageable through Firebase Storage by users and may also remain temporarily before scheduled removal.

8. Children's Privacy

FinTrace is not intended for children under the age of 13. The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Data Security

Reasonable security measures are used to protect stored information, including Firebase security rules and authenticated access controls. However, no internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.

10. International Use

FinTrace is operated from Ukraine. By using the App, you understand that your information may be processed and stored in countries where the service providers operate.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the effective date at the top of this page.
